Mechs[]
While many species have some kind of robotic combat armor (usually referred to as mechs) the humans seem to love what the Mantid call "Big Stompy Mechs" and create a wildly dizzying array of types even within a standardized weight class. Terran mechs are known to be massive, from the tiny 20 ton Locust Class all the way up to the 2,500 ton 'Jaeger Mechs" of the Pacific Rim Class. While most races uses hand/feet controls, humans are also known to wear something called a 'neural helmet' or even go so far as a 'neural jack' to help them control their mechs.
Human mechs are heavily armored, heavily armed, and capable of both projecting and handling massive amounts of firepower. Human mechs usually come with ejection systems.
Armor[]
Most species have created some form of battle armor over their history. From thick leather clothing all the way to the Terran fully environmental powered combat chassis, every species has it. However, due to muscle to armor latency issues most species cannot wear powered armor and while most species can accept a datalink or comlink cybernetic implant only Terrans seem to be able to accept the invasive "datajack" at the cerebral cortex needed for full powered armor to usable.
